A man has shot and killed at least five people at a food market in Bangkok before killing himself, police have said.
The victims at the Or Tor Kor market in Thailand’s capital included five security guards, officers told Reuters news agency.
Two women had also been wounded in Monday’s incident, according to the Erawan Medical Centre, which provides emergency services in the city.
“Police are investigating the identity of the person and the motive for the incident,” Thai police said in a statement.
The market mainly sells agricultural produce and is a popular area for Thai and foreign tourists.
