A man has died and another is missing after a collision involving an inflatable boat near Tipner in Portsmouth.
A private rigid hulled inflatable boat was involved in the crash, police said, which was reported just before 8pm on Thursday.
The man who died was in his 60s from Emsworth and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said his family have been informed and will be supported by officers.
A man in his 50s from West Sussex was taken to hospital, but has since been discharged.
“Enquiries are ongoing to locate a third person, a man in his 60s from Havant, who is still outstanding,” Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said.
“We are liaising with the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) during the early stages of an investigation to establish what has happened,” officers added.
